iCloud Sync (Optional)
Daily Abhyas uses Apple's iCloud to sync your practice data across your devices:

- ✅ Only accessible by you via your Apple ID
- ✅ No access by Daily Abhyas developers or third parties
- ✅ Syncs only when you're signed in to iCloud
- ✅ Follows Apple's iCloud privacy and security standards
Data Stored on Your Device
Daily Abhyas stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Timer sessions: Start time, duration, notes, tags
- Projects: Project names and colors
- Settings: Your preferences (target alerts, sounds, haptic feedback)
- Active timer state: Current timer state (for restoration after app restart)
This data is stored using:
- Core Data (Apple's local database framework)
- UserDefaults (Apple's local preferences storage)
All data remains on your device and is never transmitted to any server or third party.
Data Access and Control
You Own Your Data
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Export: Use the CSV export feature to download your session data
- Delete: Delete individual sessions or all data from Settings
- Backup: Your data is included in iOS device backups (iCloud/iTunes)
Data Deletion
To delete all app data:
- Open Daily Abhyas
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to "Danger Zone"
- Tap "Delete All Data"
- Confirm deletion
Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all data permanently.
iOS Permissions
Daily Abhyas requests the following iOS permissions:
Notifications (Optional)
- Purpose: Alert you when your focus target time is reached
- Usage: Notifications are scheduled locally on your device
- Control: You can enable/disable in Settings → Target Settings
- No Data Collection: No notification content is transmitted anywhere
You can use the app fully without granting notification permission.
Data Sharing
Third Parties
Daily Abhyas does not share any data with third parties because we don't collect any data in the first place.
CSV Export
The CSV export feature allows you to export your session data as a file:
- Export is user-initiated only
- File is saved to your device's Files app
- You control where the file goes (iCloud, email, etc.)
- We don't receive or access exported files
Children's Privacy
Daily Abhyas does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the app is safe for all ages.
Age Rating: 4+ (no objectionable content)
Data Security
While Daily Abhyas doesn't collect or transmit data, we take security seriously:
- All data is stored using Apple's secure frameworks (Core Data, UserDefaults)
- Data is protected by iOS device encryption
- No data is transmitted over the network
- No authentication tokens or passwords are stored
